Introduction to the Role

We are seeking a full-time Lab Attendant to join our goal-oriented team. With keeping superior organization in mind, you will provide a harmonized workplace for the Engineering department. Primarily, this role is responsible to organize, clean, and inventory parts and workspaces in tandem with assisting our Engineering team with various needs.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create and maintain organizational systems for materials, tools, and equipment in our Engineering department;

    • Consistently maintain Lab inventory, including screws, tools, raw materials, and more;

    • Coordinate with our Purchasing team to order replacement supplies as needed;

    • Maintain proper housekeeping of all lab work areas, such as wiping down and cleaning all work areas, ensuring tools and materials are put back accordingly, organizing inventory, etc.;

  • Assist our Engineering team with the following tasks:

    • Preparing and installing units and components on test fixtures;

    • Performing tests on units and components by following specific procedures;

    • Assembling units and components;

    • Building Mechanical and Electrical components that fit into various types of products;

    • Coordinate with Our Engineering and Production departments to develop, implement, and improve testing equipment and systems;

Qualifications

  • High school education required or equivalent education and experience;

  • Advanced Production 2 training as a Tester preferred;

  • Superior time management skills;

  • Moderate physical requirements – able to lift up to 50lbs;

  • Experience with hand tools and other manufacturing basic equipment required;

  • Read and understand work instructions and drawings;

  • Clear communication skills to effectively work with others;

  • Knowledge is Microsoft Office required, preferably Outlook, Word, and Excel;

  • Previous experience or knowledge of the HVAC manufacturing industry an asset.
